I am called brother George White, and I am an active member of the Southgate Church of Christ in Heath, Ohio. My wife is Arletta M. White, we have one daughter together and her name is Cherale L. White. Cherale in currently doing her last two years of college. I have three sons by my first marriage. My oldest is Harvey L. White. Then Michael D. White, he is very active in his church. My youngest is George M. white, he is making a career in the United States Navy.
In 1996, I became an Evangelist by the will and direction of the Holy Spirit. My church along with some sister churches have a mission field in Jamaica and I went there as a result of the Holy Spirit's leading. My mentor and best friend was a preacher, his name is James Ely, he encouraged me to go to college. However, at the time, I did not want to go to college because I felt that the Holy Spirit was not leading me in that direction. I remember telling Jimmy, that if the holy Spirit made a way for me to go, I will go. A few years later, the Holy Spirit gave me an opportunity to go to college.
In 1998, the direction and will of the Holy Spirit allowed me to start college in the fall of that year, at Mount Vernon Nazarene College-Mt. Vernon, Ohio. About two years later, the college became a university. While there I wrote my first manuscript and received an A for my effort. My major was Religion. I also attended the Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio. My major there was Theology. What I learned from those experiences were the problems and issues that the church suffered with for centuries.
In the beginning of March 2006, the Holy Spirit told me to go to South America on a mission trip. From that moment until I returned from Guyana, South America has been one great adventure. The Holy Spirit gave me the opportunity to teach six Bible classes, a number of Bible studies in the people's homes, and to give a message on Biblical “Listening”. My overall message to the people was to tell them what our Lord has done for me. The Apostle Paul told the Christians in Roman, “I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong ...” (Ro. 1.11, NIV). I left that church with a seven page booklet that was intended to strengthen them spiritually, and to give them a deeper understanding of God's Holy Word.
Therefore, what I really learned the most was the fact that as a child of God, we do not direct our own paths in this life, and that higher education does not hold the mysteries of the of the Father of our Lord Christ Jesus. The greatest gift I received from the Holy Spirit was my personal relationship with God, and I have also benefited from what has brought Him glory.
Last year I published a collection of papers our Lord had directed me to write for over ten years. The title is: “Inter Moments with God”. Published by iUniverse Publishing Inc.
